NBA: 5* Game of the Week Today
College: 5* Game of the Week Today.
19-6 Lifetime with 5* Selections.
Change in feature of Plays: Beginning today, the following format will be followed for the sports. I want to try this for a while given the numbers we have been tracking lately:
There will be 1 POD per sport. Hence, no more than 1 POD per day. I did this last year and went 60% for 7 months before stopping to do more plays per sport. I'm tweaking that system. I feel that doing more plays has hurt the quality of the picks, so I am shifting to limiting plays in basetball and seeing how that works for a while.
Monday-Friday: 1 NBA POD and 1 CBB POD.

IC Research Report:
Yesterday’s NBA Recap:
Boston ends gets it done over Atlanta but fails to cover as Hotlanta once again covers at home for their fourth straight home cover against the Celtics. But, the Celtics did win SU for the first time in two years. The game goes under.GS and Indiana goes well over the posted total as Indiana actually manages to cover the game. But, as expected well more than 230 points were scored. Milwaukee should have won outright at Philly but it sets them up for a nice bounce-back down the road. Philly ends up winning and covering due to a 26-15 fourth quarter (game goes under as well). Toronto still continues to struggle terribly as Dallas rolls in for the win and cover while that game too goes under. Detroit ends up winning by 14 over Washington due to a 27-17 fourth quarter, Utah manages to put up 40 points in the fourth quarter and come from way behind to defeat the Nets 103-92 and Cleveland manages to bounce-back from the Hawks SU loss and now have covered 12 of 13 ATS. How about the Clippers and Bulls going well over the posted total and give the Bulls some credit for a big win at home. This Bulls team seems to pull out these wins late as they did the same thing against the Sixers and Nets at home recently. Do note, that game would have gone over the total despite overtime. And, what do you know, New Orleans finally show some bite and wins 90-83 over San Antonio as yet another game totals in the low 170’s against these two teams.
Colts vs. Jaguars
How much worse can it get for the Jaguars? This team first loses Tennessee at home which is understandable by 10, then to the Vikings by a score of 12-30 at home, then goes on the road on MNF and loses to Houston by a score of 17-30, gets beat by the Bears by a score of 10-23 on the road and redeemed themselves a bit by defeating the Packers at home by a score of 20-16 in the previous week. More than 70% favor the Colts here to get it done on the road in a conference clash between these two teams that do not have good blood between them. Remember, the Jags beat this team 23-21 on the road earlier this year so this is actually a revenge game for Indianapolis as one of the few wins the Jags have this year was against Indy on the road. Heck, the season started great for the Jags with the onset of that game and then the wheels fell off. Peyton and the Colts are playing great right now and they have revenge. However, how do you wager on a Colts team that is getting 70% of the love on the only football game on television on a weeknight? I lean slightly on the Jazz and the under but I’ll take a pass and wait for the weekend for some much better plays imo as I believe this side/total are both very sharp lines.
San Antonio vs. Orlando
Well, speaking of the Spurs, they just come off a tough road loss to NO and now have to head on the road to play the Magic on the road in Orlando. Orlando on the other hand is rested for this game. San Antonio actually swept this team back in the 07-08 season by winning all three games that were on the docket that season. SA had won 6 straight before losing that game on the road to NO and will look to bounce-back here. But, the Magic have oodles of revenge given the fact they were swept by this Spurs team last year. I lean slightly on the Spurs for the outright here, but likely will just stay away. After all, the Magic are hot and the Spurs are a sound bounce-back team when healthy.
Thursday's Comp Selection:
*Please note, comp selections do not count on the record and it is just added research that adds something more to the research every day. thanks.
2-1 Last 3.
#726. Kent State -19.5 over NC Greensboro. I have always said that whenever over 60% of the public favors the dog, it is reason to be wary. Having said that, such is the case with the public favoring NC Greensboro here on the road at Kent State. However, what the public has failed to realize is that NC Greensboro is not even ranked in the top 300. In fact, they are ranked outside the top 300 in power ranking teams. I’m not the one to usually lay this many points although I did to the detriment yesterday, but keep in mind that Kent State is a top 125 team in most power rankings. Kent State has beat similar teams outside the top 300 such as NC Central by 41, NC Wilmington by 19 and NC Greensboro has lost to the likes of East Carolina on the road by 44, NC State by 27 (both teams ranked in the top 100) and Charlotte by 18 on the road. The only thing that worries me is that NC Greensboro comes off such an ugly loss to East Carolina, but this team is no stranger to losing by 20+ on the road, so my comp pick will go with Kent State at home today who are 10-4 ATS when playing teams with a winning % of less than 40% meaning they win big against the weaker teams in the country.
